  4. Charles Kynard & Buddy Collette - Warm Winds (World Pacific stereo)
  5. If I remember correctly, this one is the more "late night" mood album. Big Hits at least had "Sack O' Woe" and a couple of other decent tunes on it ... I wasn't going to pay much it (8.99 max) but at 1.99 i figured i couldn't pass it up.
  6. Well, I just won a copy of 'Lavender Sax' off of ebay for a grand total of $1.99 + shipping. Looking forward to it!
  7. Went to buy 'Brown sugar' from CDuniverse and found out it's been backordered since July 11th. Damnit! So now it appears to be backordered everywhere i've looked.

  12. Thank you, MG.
  13. My good friend Daniel digs everything i do. His favorites being - Willis Jackson, Boogaloo Joe Jones and Melvin Sparks!
  14. Its a good 'un - Clifford actually sings on it and for that reason I've come close to using it on each of my BFTs, but always ended up dropping it. Can't wait to hear it! If you don't mind, could you tell me the personell for 'Clifford Scott plays the big ones' & 'Lavender Sax'?
  15. Just bought 'Mr. Honky Tonk Is back in town' for 9.98 (Plus FREE SHIPPING!) @ deepdiscount.com! It's going for 50 bucks over at amazon.
  16. Lou Donaldson - Fried Buzzard (cadet stereo)
  17. See the 1st post. Some on the 11th, some on the 25th. From the CDUNIVERSE page - Scheduled to release Tuesday, September 18, 2007 Place your order today and be one of the first to receive this product when it arrives. Oh sorry. When I placed my pre-order at CDU (along with some Jazz Icons dvds) a few days ago it still had the 11th. Sounds like it's been delayed a week then. hmmm..well let us know if you get it on the 11th or the 18th!
  18. "Brown sugar" was released a couple of years ago on Water. Must still be around. MG It's only 12.85 over at newbury comics, but it's on backorder. I also see it's available at cduniverse for 14.99. Seems to be really backordered on amazon (ships in 4-6 weeks) How does Joe Henderson play on it?

  22. bump for all the Roach fans! pulled out 'All that's good'' last night and it hit me hard in a way it never did before, it's some nice shit! Also have a copy of 'Down to earth' on it's way to me via amazon marketplace. The only Freddie i don't have is 'Mo Greens Please' (damn i want it!) and 'Brown Sugar'
  23. Well anyway, the most non-greazy organ album i own is Chuck Kirkland - Yesterday & Today. I bought it for 10 cents, although it's not that bad, it certainly ain't no Groove Holmes.
  24. Have a good one!
