Thanks!
Where would i find the lionel hampton cd?
Amazon.com has it for $7.74 - GO GO GO!!!!
Almost all the ones recorded by King after '56. I think he's on some of the Columbia ones - "Oops"? I think you've got that one. I think you've got "Hot Doggett", too. He's only on a couple of tracks of that one, 'cos it's mostly early cuts. He was with Doggett from '56 to about '61.
By the way, as well as "Mr Honky Tonk is back in town", there's another on the same label "Texas tenor", which is perhaps even a little better.
And I knew there was another fantastic one. Charles Kynard's first album, "Where it's at" on PJ. Totally brill and worth whatever you have to pay to get it.
Two I haven't got of his own were
Clifford Scott plays the big ones - World Pacific
Lavender Sax - World Pacific
I think they may be a bit dubious, y'know. Though I'd buy them if I saw them cheap.
MG
Thanks! I just ordered the Paris All Stars.
I'll be checking dustygroove and ebay for those other ones.
