  1. A CD doesn't really 'spin': it's a cold and mercyless laser that count holes...and it isn't John Lennon, so do yourself a favour and get the LP. Now they know how many holes it takes to fill a CD. Exactly: four thousands, according to experts. Now diggin: John Renbourn - Faro Annie - Transatlantic

  8. The sad thing is that you screwed up the 'Venetian glass comes from which city?' question!! The correct answer is 'Murano island', but this is too smart for that ignorants who set up the test.
  9. 23, not bad for a italian mother language!
  10. That would support my post.
  11. I found pretty ironic that a court of blind worshippers might damage the job and reputation of an admittely good professionist like SH.
  12. A bit of envy over here. How do you like Kink Kronikles? Love it, the main reason for my envy: I want more Kinks!
  13. A bit of envy over here.
  14. I believe you're correct. Both sides of the record were pressed at the same plant at the same time. The stampers (plates) has deep groove. (I think). As for 'P' I am not really sure that everything without it is a 'Liberty', I am sure instead that everything WITH 'P' is pre Liberty.
  15. No, it is in color. http://www.popsike.com/php/quicksearch.php...p;x=28&y=14 BTW the stereo Riverside I have have a clear separation left/right on horns, if the horns aren't in different channels during solos I suspect some tricks like 'rechanneling'.
  16. Stereo or "SpectroSonic"? It says Stereo on the jacket and label. Strange, I though it was a mono recording. I just checked Fantasy Riverside cd box set. On the booklet they reported RLP 12-226 for mono and RLP 1174 for stereo, but no trace of Riverside RLP 1174 on Goldmine's book, nor I found a sold copy on eBay, but it's definitely on Riverside catalog. So it appears that it isn't very common in original stereo, if is it 'stereo'? I've the Analogue's Monk Tenor Session vinyl set too, "Brilliant Corners" is a 'Spectrosonic', no 'stereo' on label and cover, 'Monk's Music' has 'stereophonic' on label and cover. The cover's artwork is pretty the same of original, as usual with these reissues. So I am wondering why they use the mono master for BC and the stereo one for MM. Michel?

  23. Well, I passed through so many dangerous addictions and compulsive/selfdestructive behaviors since my teenagerhood (tobacco, drugs, alcohol, unsafe kinky sex, driving motorbikes too fast, music shopping) then I am pround of myself for being still alive and in health, just smoking ten/fifteen handrolled cigarettes per day and a couple of glass of wine for dinner.
  24. Me too, I've got fews of Tibbetts on ECM and I like them all, but this is my fave.
  25. Rolling Stones - THEIR SATANIC MAJESTIC REQUEST - Original Master Recording box set
