  1. Right now, I'm okay. She thinks boys are yucky.
  2. I will bring da cheese. Brie or Provolone?
  3. A new one of mine. She just 5, and already the boys from her class come and ring the doorbell to play with her.
  4. Someone went and got a trap. Hopefully this will work. It's been 2 hours but nothing as of yet.
  5. There are 2 kittens outside in the parking lot of where I work. For 2 days now, a bunch of us have been trying to catch them, but to no avail. We have tried food. We have tried the old rabbit trap, a box with a string attached with milk undereath it We even tried surrounding them in a circle, but they always manage to run into the bushes or the wooded area. With all the snow, it's not long before they'll freeze. We haven't seen the mother. She must have abandon them, or died. Any ideas on how to catch them?
  6. LP and CD were the same. Now you are saying the show on easytree.org is different, so I have to go and grab it.
  7. That's what my wife calls me too.
  8. Like every Muslim or Jew who have to make the pilgrimage a least once in their lifetime to the holy land, every jazz fan has to do the same. When you're there you can swear you hear the walls echoing Coltrane, Mingus, Gordon and so many others. Just look at all the live albums that came from this club. I don't think there is any other club that put out so many live recordings.
  9. I believe it was release as "Blow Up" I have the LP. Don't think it made it to CD.
  10. Saw Count Basie and his band. Cica 1981 at the NEW Savoy Ballroom in harlem. Don't think that's there anymore. The band was great. Basie came out on a mobilized wheelchair. Freddie Green was there too. In fact, this was the first live jazz show I ever been to.
  11. It's a Phil Woods album form 1971. It is on NDR records. Not too familiar with NDR the catalog. I'm on Phil Woods kick, and was thinking of picking it up. Wondering if it is good session.
  12. They have no plans to come to the states from what I read. I would love to go a show.
  13. Well, if it doesn't matter, I wish someone would sign Horace Silver and Jackie McLean and Lou Donaldson...
  14. I came across two private recordings someone gave me a copy of. I'm trying to figure out the sidemen and a couple of the tunes. The dates are 11/27/86 at Bradley's in NYC and 7/23/93 at San Remo, Italy. I have the musicians figured out but not the set list.h
  15. Are the senior jazz artists denied contracts because of age? Do you think record companies just go with the younger artists because younger artists attract a younger buying group, which spend more money? Example number 1: Jackie McLean, Jackie McLean hasn't put out anything new for a few years. The last studio session was "Nature Boy" in 2000. He can still play, and I'm sure he would still enjoy recording if giving the chance. There must be a ton of other senior jazz artists without contracts too.
  16. Does a discography of Joe Henderson exist on the web like the artists on Mike's site?
  17. Just wondering what other stuff people here like to collect, coins, stamps, assault weapons, orchids or what ever. Tell us about it.
  18. Outside of Bill Hardman and maybe Julian Priester, who else were the main stays in the Messengers at this time? I believe Ronnie Mathews palyed piano, but he was replaced by the first woman messenger, Joanne Brackeen by 1970 or even earlier. Was Lawrence Eveans on bass around this time? There's not much studio work from the band at this time.
  19. Yes welcome to the board.
  20. I guess you can say they were stillborn.
  21. So we hit over 1000, but how many of them ever posted? I bet there is only 600 active members.
