You are wishing that a fellow human being should be injured so that your team can win...? As if you never thought the Giants would be better off without Zito taking a start every five days, or questioned why so much money was given to such a pathetic mediocrity. No doubt....but I wouldn't want to see him get injured.

Casey Anthony Not Guilty Verdict
Tim McG replied to Dan Gould's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
Both the prosecution and the defense had weak cases. I'm guessing the jury went with an acquittal because nobody proved anything beyond the fact Anthony is a liar. -

Well played, Aggie. Touche'.

After a rain delayed laugher yesterday, the Giants blow another one in the late innings. It's hard work being a Giants fan [heaviest of sighs].
-
Remember how when the Angels used it, it was called "Chavez Ravine"? It's still named after a ditch. Watch for me waving back. I'll be the fat middle-aged white guy in a recliner. Seriously, enjoy the game. Ain't nothing like a day at the ballpark, especially with family. 't'is a good thing, 't'is. That's a fact, too We're also going to play some golf while up there. Good times, indeed.

Just got off the Giants website and bought tickets for my son and I to go to Thursday's Giants vs. Padres game! It's televised, so watch for the guy in the Giants cap. I'll being the one waving. Go Giants!

So! Why is Emmanuel Burriss allowed to exist? He boots a routine double play ball [a ball my dead grandmother could have caught] and nearly loses the game after Wilson, our pretend closer, can't find the strike zone. If it wasn't for the two walks by Tiger pitchers, we'd still be playing this game. Grrrrrr Giants Baseball: Torture!
-
Two blown saves for my Giants after stomping the Cubbies [twice] in a two-game set on Saturday. Grrrrrr
-
Another one-run win by my Giants! A 2011 MLB best; 17 [i believe].

Happy Father's Day! [Once again, I'd insert the video, but the system here won't allow it...who knows why] It's a Dad Life Click on the link. It's pretty cool

I'm with Fay Vincent on this one. We see that kind of behavior all the time, in Little League where parents are chewing out umps(and worse), the excesses of Steinbrenner(and I'm a Yankee fan), it cheapens and coarsens the sport and destroys sportsmanship. Respect is necessary. I agree. However, Mark Cuban is the poster child for how to be an asshole. How do you change that?

As a kid- Angels [AL] and Giants [NL] As an adult- Giants and Angels...sorta [mostly as a distraction; Gene Mauch beat all the excitement out of me that I ever held for that team in 1986. Then they traded Mike Witt and a couple years later, Wally Joyner to make room for my soon-to-be favorite Giant: JT Snow. They traded JT [to SF] for Will "can't-hit-my-hat-size" Parker. That sealed the deal.] However, I have been a Dodger hater since birth. Is there any other sport besides baseball...?

Anyone else use an electronic piece of crap?

LG Shine. I keep it just to piss off all the cell phone addicts who have to have the latest gizmo App-thing the minute it comes out on the market. The looks I get are priceless -
They do excellent work. It's a good check on the home plate ump. Mike Krukow, the Giants announcer, goes on ad nauseum about the home plate ump's strike zone. It can be overdone at times though... Krukow knows his stuff though. As a former MLB pitcher it is interesting to hear about these things from a professional point of view. It makes me more aware of the floating strike zone.

Now if AZ/Colorado could lose a few games, that would be very nice. Always nice when the [hated] Dodgers lose. Sorry, Noj.
-
You'll be back and on your game before you know it, Shawn. I've been where you are now, too. It may go hard for a while, but keep on keeping on and you will prevail.

A nice little come back for my guys last night against the Rocks! 5-4, in 13

Told you so.

Another of my childhood TV heroes dies. RIP, Mr. Arness.

And you guys kept saying the same thing about the Giants all last season, too. Guys, it's not the number of runs that matter, it is the number of wins that make the difference in a season. To wit: Giants win today, 2-1. Nuff said?

Unreal that the umpire, standing right there, missed that call. Wow. Course, the umpires are often standing "right there" when they miss calls. You ought to watch a Giants game.
