You could be right. With the loss of Posey and with Sandoval, Fontenot, Belt and DeRosa on the DL the Giants are struggling right now. But as the season wears on, things do and will change in the NL West. My mantra for this season? Finish ahead of the Dodgers...

A very nice Post Game article about Sparky Anderson by Steve Henson that I think all baseball fans should read: Sparky rests in peace

Very true. I was just being sacastic. TBH, he has always been one of my favorite announcers in spite of his affiliation. Um. Vin Scully is the [hated] Dodgers announcer. WTF would he care if a Giants guy got injured? Right, because someone roots for another team, they rejoice in injuries.... Plus, we all know what a jerk Scully is... <_< Just a knee-jerk reaction. I'm still feeling angry about the guy who lies in a coma because of a Dodger thug; just a bad response on my part. That's what I thought...wasn't sure....I thought that was out of character for you. Thanks, Man....I owe you one.
-
The Scully comment was a knee jerk response and I have since said it was a stupid thing to say. What more do you want...a dozen roses? You want me to propose to you? WTF? Again, this crap is from a guy who gave up on his BoSox 11 games into the season: Don't waste my time, Danny. Or I won't take you to the Prom.

A clean slide and contact at the plate with the catcher. Florida's Cousins needs to take a lesson here.

I think my guys are still reeling over the loss of Buster Posey. The "new" guys haven't blended in yet so it may be a long stretch before the Giants are back to solid form, I'm afraid. What pine tar...?

This from a guy who gave up on his BoSox 11 games into the season. Go soak your head, Danny.

I think you may be right. I just have such a hard time imagining how anyone could be a Dodger fan. Because the Dodgers are the greatest franchise in the history of baseball.... Fuck the Dodgers. They don't even make the top 100 when it comes to greatness.

Hey! The kid [brandon Crawford] slams the Brewers for his first major league hit! Now how cool is that

The "going-nowhere" Marlins are playing .600 ball which is better than the Giants. In May. You telling me these guys will even be in the playoffs come October? If so, I'll take that bet. The difference is, I can see. You, I'm not too sure about. Yup. The "going-nowhere" Marlins are playing .600 ball which is better than the Giants. Seriously. And they just swept the Giants! So did the Rockies and D-Backs. Point?

Yep, out for the season. Can someone explain to me how sliding hard, and late, 3 feet wide of 2nd with mere fingertips reaching for the bag=good clean slide. Running full force into the blind side of a crouching catcher, who had the ball long before you were close to home(I haven't actually seen the play that ended Posey's season, just an example)= Clean play Running down the 1st base line and swatting at the 1st baseman's glove=terrible, very ghey play that either gets you derided forever (ARod) or in the case of Robert Fick, in 2004, cost him his job with the braves??? Just don't get it. In High School ball, he'd be out and tossed from the game. I guess the going-nowhere Marlins are more concerned with winning a stupid game than they are in destroying a man's career. That Dodger thug who beat up a Giants fan and the legions of other haters, must be very proud. Sad. His foot wasn't planted, Dan. Look at the video Noj posted. The guy lowered his shoulder and went after the player, not the plate. Posey was CLEARLY off to the right and not blocking anything. Watch the video Noj posted. No. Been busy. It was dirty play. No doubt about it. Please note the runner went off the baseline and directly at Posey. I hope he gets fined, beaned in his next at bat and/or blackballed.

Have a happiest of happy's, Jim

Coffee here. I have only three requirements for my morning Cup of Joe: 1. Hot 2. Black 3. And in a cup
-
Well, Jim....my guys pulled off a stunning win today to complete the sweep of the A's for your team. Even better news: They arrested the Dodger thug who beat then caused brain damage to that father of two young kids. His parole officer ratted him out. I hope they throw the book at him, the fucking bastard son-of-a-bitch. Dodger thug arrested

TIMMY!!! A complete game shutout! Atta kid

It's a"local" thing for us, you know, Battle of the Bay and all that. But I'll keep cheering my guys on for you, OK?

Hey! A two game sweep of the [hated] Dodgers and a comebacker in the 10th last night vs. the A's Even the MadBum got on the winning side of things. Go Giants!
-
-
Giants played some piss poor baseball against the Brav-os this weekend. The Mad Bum looked terrible at the game we attended Friday night. Gone by the 3rd. One good thing though...I got to stand right next to the World Series trophy. It was awesome!

Runs in the family, I see: Posey's sister can hit, too!

Really, the divorce case produced more that enough evidence of financial mismanagement, yet Bud did nothing. Color me completely pissed-off at Bud and his turning a blind eye. Steroids, crappy umpiring, baseball strikes, and now this. A day late, a dollar short. He got his wish when he got the McCourt's to buy the Dodgers, all because he did not want an owner who could produce a high payroll, but he wanted someone with no money, who would be unable to do a thing to improve the Dodgers, and that way, kiss up to the small-market teams. Retire already, you cheap, old man. :tdown Now hold on there, Matthew. McCourt was taking out $30 million dollar loans from Fox Network in order to pay his monthly payroll obligations. At some point, the bottom will fall out and players would go unpaid. Selig, as much of a yutz I think he is, did the right thing by stepping in at this point.

That's Giants Torture. And they're very good at it. Hey, they still won; fourth in a row, too Zito getting hurt helped a lot with the win, he looked terrible... again. I hate to see a guy get injured [even Zito], but Mota looked sharp in relief.
