Jonathan Sanchez SUCKS. Three bad starts in the playoffs...THREE?!? Apply any pressure and Sanchez caves in like a shore break sandcastle. A pathetic display of non-talent tonight. Somebody needs to pull him aside and EXPLAIN to him where he is and what is at stake. Does he have any IDEA where he is and the history in SF here? W-T-F is the matter with him anyway? He's useless, fer crissakes. Trade him. Now. Wow.

With any luck, and if the Baseball Gods are with us, the Giants will close this thing out this weekend. I don't hold out much hope if this goes to 7 games.

This long suffering fan hopes this is the year. Enduring the Torture since 1963. That's a long time. Hope this is your year. The Giants last won the WS in 1954 when they were the NY Giants. I was born in 1954 and didn't really become aware of team sports until I was 8 years-old...the year was 1962. Giants made the WS only to lose to the hated Yankees in 7 games. Ever since then, it has been 47 years of dashed hopes, nightmarish seasons and unrealized potential. Maybe, just maybe...this time the good guys win a WS. Give me this. Only this....and I can die a happy man.

They said the same thing about facing Oswalt and Latos before him. TBH, I don't think it matters who is on the mound: They still have to score runs and that has been the problem all year for the Giants....ace pitcher or not. I know. Usually a high scoring game is 3-2. Go figure.

And two teams with interesting narratives and characters, whom few would have predicted to be meeting in such a fashion this October. Best comment of the night. Don't know that much about the Rangers, but nearly every Giants' player has a great story behind him. Two months ago if anyone had said that Cody Ross would be the Giants' MVP of the NLCS, they would have been sent to an asylum. I know the feeling, Brooks. I was at the the ballpark on the last day of a three game sweep by the hated Dodgers back in June. A crestfallen Buster Posey sat alone in the dugout and this depressed fan dejectedly stood up and asked anyone who would listen, "Can it get any worse than this?" If you would have told me that the Giants were going to the WS I would have personally escorted you to the nearest mental facility.

Same here...so far they're starting @ 600 for SRO...just a tad too much, but...I don't know... Wishing you guys almost all the best, if you know what I mean. Thanks, JSngry....same goes for me. If nothing else, maybe my son will come down from NorCal to watch the game with me on our widescreen. Here's hoping for a great WS!

Hard to believe that team of castoffs is now 4 wins away from the championship. And to think they made the playoffs on the last day of the season. I disagree. The cap or whatever else one may think of will not happen and precisely because of the Steinbrenners. The crazy money MLB salaries are upon us thanks to the Steinbrenners and only because of the Steinbrenners. Make no mistake. And I have 206 million reasons why that's true.

And New Yawk dies a slow and painful death. Maybe the Baseball Gods will smile down on my Giants, too. Just once? Nah.

Somebody needs to point out to Sandoval where third base is, Sanchez committed a rookie baserunning mistake after Utley dropped the ball, Ramirez couldn't get me out and who was backing up Huff on that error at first? I vote for benching Sandoval until the next Ice Age. Grrrrrrr

Congratulations Philly fans! Good luck against Texas/Yankees in the World Series. Giants are done. It's over. Fun while it lasted. See you in 2011.
