  1. No collusion whatsoever - at least in Harper's case. He was offered $300 mil. for ten years before all of this began, and he (and/or his agent) turned it down. He had his opportunity.
  2. The first thing I saw was your headline in caps, and I cringed.
  3. Haven't listened to this in a long time. Thanks for the reminder to do so. I have good memories.
  4. To my mind, anyone who's reached the age of 90 and is still creative - whether that be in the music world or in other worlds - and Benny Golson isn't the first and I hope he won't be the last - deserves happy birthday wishes, a tip of the hat, our thanks, or whatever we can offer. All of those to Mr. Golson.
  5. I actually meant to give a , but works too.
  6. Happy Birthday!
  7. Fletcher Henderson: Yeah Man! (Hep)
  8. The Yankees need pitching (starting pitching), not hitting, but Cashman never seems to get that.
  9. Keep Bonds and Clemons out. If there were a way to throw Selig out after his election, I'd go for that.
  10. This is one of the strangest recordings in my collection. I think I play it once in a while because my listening has grown too comfortable. It reminds me that the world can be weird, indeed. From Ross Bolleter's liner notes: "I spent six years, five to six nights a week, playing in the Garden Restaurant and Millstrasse Bar at the Parmelia Hilton. I had the honor of playing the last piece to be heard in this world by a businessman who died in front of the bandstand - was it More or Cabaret? I'll never forget the look he gave me."
