  2. Deirdre Madden: Time Present and Time Past Deirdre Madden is an Irish author whose books are not well known in the U.S., but they should be. This one is wonderfully moving and I highly recommend it.

  13. Some people never want to move out of their comfort zone - even if that comfort zone is 50 - 60 - 100 - 120 years old. That's fine for them, but they shouldn't bitch when other ears want to hear something different.
