  4. In that vein - even though it will probably never happen - I'd like to see Mosaic work with Ornette to release some of the unreleased material that he's stored away over the years. Something like the Bird Benedetti box, but perhaps less inclusive.
  5. Growling Tiger: Knockdown Calypsos (Rounder) Sometimes I'll play a record that I haven't listened to in years and I'll wonder what I ever heard in it. Not so with this one. I played it today and the music still sounds wonderful.
  6. I knew he wasn't well, but wasn't expecting to read this. Thank you, Mr. Haden.

  8. on the spine of this lp, does it really say Bossa Nova Soul Samba. i think there has been some confusion over this Looking at the stereo NY USA spine it says Bossa Nova at the top of the spine, and a little further down it reads Soul Samba, then Ike Quebec, and then Blue Note Stereo 84114 near the bottom. That's how the spine on the Classic reissue reads.
  9. The Body Snatchers Morticia Uncle Fester
  10. on the spine of this lp, does it really say Bossa Nova Soul Samba. i think there has been some confusion over this The spine has all four words. It's a reissue by Classic Records, so I don't know if the original LP is the same.

  17. Sounds like this LP: "Pres" on the front cover, Lester Young in Washington, D.C. - on the back cover, "Lester"/Lester Young at Olivia Davis' Patio Lounge - on the spine, and Lester Young at Olivia Davis' Patio Lounge - Washington, District of Columbia, 1956 on the label. At least Braxton is in good company.
  18. Probably another case where Concord will reissue the common stuff and let the rest of the catalog sit in their vaults.
