  1. The no pasta thing has always been tough for me, but I can do without taters.
  2. Seriously though, I'm sorry for your loss.
  3. A stray squirrel? hehe
  4. Nah, I think it was more of a sign that Tony is trying to get it together and the gambling problem is history. I would agree this season is much more interesting than the last couple. I could have done without the kid taking a shit in the shower, but I'm enjoying the story line between Phil and Tony. If Tony's gambling problem is now history, then to hell with them for introducing it. The show has a history of stories that just drop and I think this is one of them.

  6. In New York, I'm paying anywhere from $3.05 to $3.35 for regular unleaded, add another 10-15 cents for premium. Out in Phoenix costs are running to just under $3.00 to as much as $3.15. The prices for preimium I've seen as high as $3.35.
  7. Happy Birthday!
  8. Have a great day, Joe.
  9. I'll take your word for it, but the way you described the event, it sounded like the only thing missing was Sinatra snapping his fingers before the $20 was proffered. Nah, you got it all wrong. Two guys that know each other come to pay their respects to a dead man, that man was my grandfather. One of the two men I knew, the other one happened to be Frank Sinatra. The one man I knew gave me a $20 bill, the other one gave me a little pat on the shoulder. Two completely seperate gestures by two people that happened to be walking together.
  10. Is this some sort of weird, little known Italian tradition? Slip a kid $20 at a funeral? And if you're Frank, you can have a lackey do it ... I wouldn't go so far as to call it a tradition for kids to get cash from visitors at a wake. More like an old man trying to make a kid feel a little better in his own way. Why Sinatra was there is a long story. The $20 bill, which I still have was from Tieri who was my grandfather's close friend, do a little research and you'll see nobody (especially Sinatra) would have ever considered him someone's lackey.
  11. In August 1977, while sitting on the entrance steps of a Bayside Queens funeral home, I received a little pat on the shoulder from Mr. Francis Albert Sinatra while the man with him (Frank Tieri) handed me a $20 bill and said "your grandfather was a good man".
  12. Linguine with tomato and peas.
  13. Lambrusco, it's very refreshing.
  14. Nice!
  15. The Fisher is tubes all the way. Thanks!
  16. Say no more, if you don't think you could handle it, no way I could. J, I'll send you a note when I decide what I'm going to do.
  17. Okay, I have a follow up.... I'm also taking possesion of a Fisher 500-C. This is going to need some work. Should I try do it myself or is this something that a true professional should do?
  18. That may do it.
  19. I'll double check but if I remember correctly these are the old D-130s from the late 50s. If they are bad, any idea where would I find replacement parts?
  20. Thank you for clearing that up. I thought you just took a new indentity. The spinning bottle cap is available as I came up with a new idea involving a cat head.
  21. On the surface they look fine. I was thinking about pulling them out and checking more closely. The speakers have been inside them home, so it's not like they were exposed to weather.
