Hardbopjazz
I am going to be there on busniess and thought about checking out some jazz at night. Any good jazz clubs? Edited August 18, 2004 by Hardbopjazz
ghost of miles
Hardbopjazz, you might drop Stevebop an e-mail... he hosts a popular Friday night jazz show at WGBH and is tuned in to the local scene.
Big Wheel
Check out www.myrootdown.com for Boston listings. It looks like the major clubs haven't posted their entire schedules yet.
Kevin Bresnahan
Ryles (http://www.rylesjazz.com) has a couple of good looking shows that week. Tuesday the 19th, they have The Alejandro Cimadoro Quintet with George Garzone on sax. Garzone is usually a good one. Two nights later on the 21st, they have Greg Abate, a very bop-oriented player. The Regattabar (web site) has only one show booked so far and that one, someone named Drew Emmitt of a band called Leftover Salmon, is one I've never heard of. Scullers (web site) is still blank. Friday night the 22nd, there's The Michel Camilo Trio and special guest Juanito Pascual (not my cup of tea) at the Sanders Theater. Later, Kevin
