Spontooneous Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Would some kind soul please tell me the original sequences for the two Solid State live LPs? That's "Live at the Village Vanguard," SS-18016, and "Monday Night," SS-18048. I'd swear I had a copy of "Monday," but it's disappeared. Thanks kindly all. Quote

Spontooneous Posted November 5, 2004 Author Report Posted November 5, 2004 Wow! Less than two hours! That's why this is my favorite hangout on the Internet. MANY thanks! Quote
Shrdlu Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Just a small point: it's "Bachafillen". I mainly know because a pianist that I used to play with brought a chart of it to our gig one night, in the early 70s. We felt our way through it that night and enjoyed playing it. It is a brief, 16-measure structure. Using the "AABA" kind of notation, it is just "A". Quote

The spelling used for this tune on the original Solid State album is however 'Bacha Feelin''. Edited November 6, 2004 by sidewinder Quote
Michael Fitzgerald Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 Mosaic box notes that the tune was misspelled on all previous issues. Listed as Bachafillen in the BMI database. Of course, the Lord CD-ROM lists this as "Bachalillen" on the Jazz Crusaders record Stretchin' Out. Mike Quote
Shrdlu Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 This is in the Arnold Fishkind category. Quote
