This reminds me of a piece in Billboard in the early '70s where the newly appointed BN honcho George Butler talked about the label's heritage. Unless I want to upgrade (or downgrade, as the case might be), there's not much in the recent (or upcoming) wave of reissues I will score... Really weird- first time in a long while I haven't bought blue note for months... IMO - BN also might as well drop the conn and just go RVG all the way...what now justifies the differince in price? As with Johnny Coles - "Little Johhny C", "Ready for Freddie" & perhaps others - just because it's called a conn doesn't mean it really is limited edition. perhaps should be called "Con" series?
