I see that hopscotch have a website. The listing I got seems to reflect the fact that Sound 323 have just taken a delivery. I hadn't heard of this label, and I had never heard Tsahar, which is why these leapt out at me. I am listening to the clips - I'm not overwhelmed yet...

I like Assif Tsahar!

A provocative musician who sometimes fall flat on his face but he is trying!

And when he gets going, there's a lot to enjoy from him.

Of those Hopscotch records, I have the Live at the Juan Miro Foundation set with Peter Kowald and Sonny Murray which was my introduction to Tsahar and 'Deals, Ideas and Ideals' with Kowald and Rashied Ali. Things fall very much into their place on that one!

And Tsahar knows how to pick his drummers!
