ghost of miles
Playing some material off HOLY GHOST on Night Lights this evening--"Green Dolphin Street," "Spirits Rejoice" (w/Peacock and Murray), "Children" (w/Don Cherry), "Japan/Universal Indians" from Newport '67, music from Coltrane's funeral, etc., as well as remarks by Ayler and Don Cherry. It's on WFIU at 11:05 tonight (8:05 California time, 10:05 Chicago time, 11:05 NYC time) and will hopefully be archived by Tuesday morning. Next week: "Resolution: Jazz From Rehab," featuring Joe Pass' SOUNDS OF SYNANON and Elmo Hope's SOUNDS FROM RIKER'S ISLAND.
pryan
I couldn't find the Ayler program on the website. Perhaps it hasn't been archived yet? Listening to the Herbie Nichols program instead.
ghost of miles
Sorry about that, Pryan. Things have been real slow around the holidays, plus I was subbing every day for our regular jazz DJ and doing the big-band programs as well. Truly hope to have the Ayler and the Jan. 1 "Resolution: Jazz From Rehab" online by Tuesday morning.
pryan
Thanks. Really looking forward to hearing some samples from that highly-touted boxset. That "drug show" looks interesting too.

I'm very sorry I missed it. I've been having problems with my computer. It's an ongoing war. So I've been down for a while. How did the show turn out?
