blajay
actually, the CD that's somewhat related is one I made called "New Tango 92" - which resulted from my listening to Piazzola, which was really life changing - no bandoneon or accordion on it, however - however, Julius Hemphill is on it (recorded at the Knitting Factory) - Ah, I see! And you play sax, not guitar on it? Anticipate a paypal boost when I get back from Peru after labor day...
Dave James
I'm feeling a fair amount of shame. My Dad, a musician of no repute, convinced me that the accordian began and ended with Myron Floren doing Lady of Spain. Woe is me...how could I have been so wrong? Up over and out. AllenLowe
yes, I play only tenor on that - email me before you order - I'm a little low on copies and will need to do some inventory first -
Tom in RI
I missed this thread each other time it has been up, look forward to hearing Mr. Galliano. Another accordion player I've heard to good effect is Sonny Barbato as a sideman on George Schuller's Round About Now on Playscape. Barbato is only on one or two cuts as I recall.
