Hardbopjazz Posted January 26, 2005 Report Posted January 26, 2005 Does anyone know if "The Real Thing" ever made it to disc? I am more interested in it for Grant Green, but I do enjoy Person's playing. There is also an album by various artists called "Together - The Eastbound Jazz Years". Person and Green do "Lester Leaps in". I would love get a listen to as well. Quote
Soul Stream Posted January 26, 2005 Report Posted January 26, 2005 To my knowledge, no CD of that session. Wish there were. Quote

JSngry Posted January 26, 2005 Report Posted January 26, 2005 AMG has a listing, but not a confidence-inspiring one. Quote
Dan Gould Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 I can't figure out why its not showing up at that Ace site, but I did find this page which gives a cover and tune list (just scroll down). http://www.geocities.com/scottpurkiss/musi....html#eastbound Quote
JSngry Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 I looked for it at Da' Bastids, since they usually have this stuff, but to no avail. Quote
chris olivarez Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 Sounds like a neat session. Hopefully it will see the light of day. Quote
