Rooster_Ties Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 (edited) Looking for an AMG review and maybe some on-line samples, and half.com says the album is called "Richard Davis", which is clearly wrong. Wait, it looks like half.com says the album is by Richard Davis, and is called "John Hicks". Whatever. What is this thing really??? Screwed up listing on half.com Thanks!!! ============ ============ ============ ============ OK, I was listening to samples of this disc at Amazon (click here). And the tune "Littlest One of All" came on, and damn -- I know this tune from somewhere. But a quick check of the AMG says that it's only been recorded under that name here on the Hicks album, and also on a Freddie Hubbard album (click here). Those two are the same tune, but damn if I don't know this thing from somewhere else (cuz I don't have that Freddie disc, nor the Hicks). So I guess it was under some other name. Where else is this tune from???? Some classic BN recording, I think, but which one??? Edited January 27, 2005 by Rooster_Ties Quote

relyles Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 I believe that I have it - possibly the LP edition. If it is the recording I am thinking of, I had a positive reaction to the music. Quote

Rooster_Ties Posted January 27, 2005 Author Report Posted January 27, 2005 OK, I finally remembered what it was. It's the opening tune off OBLIQUE, where it's called 'Til Then. There might be one chord different, but that's the one. Quote
