why no liner notes on "last date"?

1) Jim: actually, the cut Mingus was referring to, on which he identified Dave as Bird, was Case Ace, from Handyland -

2) as for no notes on the Last Date CD, this is a long story which has to do with the original intent of those CDs in the series - which were for Japanese release and not supposed to be complete in their current form. Unfortunately some committments and promises were not kept, and somebody ran out of money...

In some ways I'd say McPherson. The man had/has that sort of underground spring bubbling up thing sometimes in a way that Bird had (more often)
