LP . . . $5.99 (Item: 36318) ABC, 1977 Condition: Very Good View Cart A great indication of the time-tested theory that the more a band tries to be "funky" in their name, the more they actually aren't. In other words, a group like the Booty People, who sound like they're going to be an all-out party, actually end up being some sort of weak fake funk outfit -- with kind of a third rate pop P-Funk groove. Not that they're totally terrible, it's just that in a list of essential funk records you should own, The Booty People would probably be somewhere right near the bottom. Tracks include "Booty People", "After The Rain", "Slappin Five", "Shoot To Kill", and "Anyway I'm Busted".
