Yesterday I found a sealed copy of "Softly as a Summer Breeze" for $14 and picked it up. Psyched to have found it, being OOP and all.

Today I pop it in the car player and get "Hello Mary Lou, Goodbye Heart". Ricky frickin' Nelson. The disc itself is printed correctly, just plays wrong.

Anyone else run into this problem?

When I was in high school (the 60s), one of our parish priests was the man who wrote Hello Mary Lou along with Gene Pitney. His name was Father Chuck Mangiaracina. I thought that was pretty neat!

That happened to me with an obscure cd from a guy named Mark Bingham, titled "I Passed for Human". I bought it through half.com for cheap. Same deal - the disc was printed correctly, but the music was some really cheezy late-80's rap-lite. The seller agreed to refund my $, so no biggie, but I was also disappointed.

This has happen to me 2 times. I both Art Blakey's Indestructible, and got Bud Powell's The Scene Changes. I also recently bought a Lionel Hampton CD's and not sure who it is, but there isn't one track with someone on vibes. At first I though it was Dexter Gordon, but now I'm not to sure.
