desertblues Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 So sad to lose yet another of the greats. Quote
kinuta Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 That's sad, I loved Little Milton and had the great pleasure of seeing him a few years ago here in Tokyo in a small club. Man he really burned, in fact it was maybe the best single R&B set I've ever seen. Thanks for the wonderful music . Quote
paul secor Posted August 5, 2005 Report Posted August 5, 2005 Too many passings. Who will take their places? Rest In Peace, Mr. Campbell. Quote
Nate Dorward Posted August 5, 2005 Report Posted August 5, 2005 (edited) Sorry to hear of this. Hooked on him ever since I heard "Grits ain't groceries, eggs ain't poultry, & Mona Lisa was a man" in my dad's record collection when I was small. Edited August 5, 2005 by Nate Dorward Quote
Jim R Posted August 5, 2005 Report Posted August 5, 2005 Saw him in SF back around 1980. Great performer. Great career. Man, I wish I had the batteries some of those guys had. RIP Milton. Quote
John L Posted August 5, 2005 Report Posted August 5, 2005 It gets more and more painful to lose blues giants like Little Milton. We only have a few left, and they will not be replaced. Little Milton was a fantastic artist. I never missed his concerts when he came to town, and was never once disappointed. RIP Quote
brownie Posted August 5, 2005 Report Posted August 5, 2005 He was Little only by name. He brought a lot of pleasure around. Another one who will be missed! Quote
