Jim Alfredson Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 I miss having Larry Kart around here. ← So do I... but he's on a older Mac that's using IE 5.0 and cannot upgrade. This board is not compatable with that old browser (thanks Microsoft, for making yet another piece of crap!). If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Quote

Jim Alfredson Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 I suggested Opera, but I guess he was having problems installing it and I'm not a mac man. Quote

Jim Alfredson Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 He's got OS 9.1. I think an older version of Mozilla works as well. I think he's on dial-up and has not been able to get a copy online due to timing out problems. Quote
Kalo Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 (edited) I've got the same OS, I'm on dial-up, I'm here (thanks to Mozilla). Should he change ISPs? (I'm on earthlink.) Edited September 20, 2005 by Kalo Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 don't know... but I just emailed him and offered to send him a disc of Mozilla if he needs it. Quote

Jim Alfredson Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 Which version of Mozilla is it? Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 Ok, so its Mozilla 1.2.1. I have downloaded it and gotten a response from Larry. He is asking for step-by-step instructions on how to install it and since I'm not a mac person, I don't know. It is a .bin file. Can anyone give me step-by-step instructions for installing this for the computer novice? I think I'll do a mass email to all the members so that those who are having these problems can contact me and I will mail them a CD-R if need be. Quote
Kalo Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 There was another thread on this a while back. Maybe that's got some hints. Quote
