kinuta Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 I just heard the sad news that British comedy great Ronnie Barker has died. He was very funny. Quote
rostasi Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 aaaaaaaawwww, man! I'm gonna miss ol' Arkwright. I checked the news and was surprised to hear that Ronnie Corbett (who's leading a tribute) was still alive. I thought he'd died many years ago. "Granville, fetch yer cloth!" Quote

You asleep Yes! or Of course I trust you, if there's one person I know didn't nick my pineapples it's you...besides when you were in the shower I went through all your gear. sidewinder Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 This is sad news. He was a class act but gave lots of laughs to many. When I think of Ronnie Barker it takes me right back to the 1970s, when the 'Two Ronnies' was pretty well a national institution here in the UK and regularly topped the polls. Their song and dance routines could be hilarious. Cutting humour, right on the money but never offensive. Big for that. Quote
Rosco Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 "Not four candles... Fork 'andles!" RIP Ronnie! Quote

J.A.W. Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 "Not four candles... Fork 'andles!" β Brilliant. There'll be a tribute on BBC1 tonight, at 10.35 BST / 11.35 CEST. Quote
sidewinder Posted October 5, 2005 Report Posted October 5, 2005 Caught a bit of the tribute. They showed the 'fork handles'. His 'drag' routines (e.g. Dolly Parton) were the funniest though. Quote
