ghost of miles Posted November 14, 2005 Author Report Posted November 14, 2005 Yeah, I'm none too inspired by many of the modern, McDonaldized churches that I've seen. There's a beautiful old brick one down the street from where we now live... I'm tempted to go sometimes, even though I'm not a Methodist, just because I like the building. I'd be interested in seeing pictures of contemporary churches that are really well-done--there must be some nice ones out there. Quote

I witnessed the re-consecration ceremony during it live TV broadcast - it was a very moving one, a demonstration of reconciliation beyond comparison. They had a camera suspende from the roof inside, giving a unique view on the participants moving on the organically conceived basic structure - fantastic. I was there when they just had started to sort out the rocks, and was skeptical whether it merited the gigantic spending, but now that I see the results and the message delivered by all who helped - simply great! I look forward to visiting it in the years to come, the acoustics must be fantastic. I was there two years ago but couldn't get in ... Quote
