erwbol Posted January 23, 2015 Report Posted January 23, 2015 I agree this is one of the best shows, but it's hard to like. I hate the world these characters live in. I suppose this show is quite realistic in many respects. I admit I have a low opinion of (gangsta) rap, that nonsense makes me angry. The world of The Wire is populated by a lot of stupid motherfuckers. One of the biggest themes in this show is that any one of us could be one of those "stupid motherfuckers", given the right "opportunity". Even a lot of those given the opportunity to work for law enforcement, the judicial system & the city are assholes. Quote
