slide_advantage_redoux Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 I finally got around to picking up Don Cherry's "Old and New Dreams" on ECM (w/ Charlie Haden, Dewey Redman and Ed Blackwell). What a wonderful date this was. I can see (hear) why it was rated so highly when it was released in '79. My question is this: Was it originally released on ECM and then sold later to Black Saint? I looked it up in Goldmine, and it is listed as Black Saint only. It doesn't really matter. I dig the music regardless, but I am just curious. Thanks.....by the way, its good to be back in the saddle. Quote

bertrand Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 The song they play on Tribute To Blackwell is 'Guinea', not 'Togo'. It's a mix-up on the CD cover. Bertrand. Quote
