Soul Stream Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 Check out Horace's new site and forum! It's baaaaaddd. 2 really cool videos posted with Horace and Andy Bey doing some United States Of Mind material. I ordered his new autobiography which came out today. Looking forward to reading it. Guy Berger Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 Well, hopefully we'll find out what Horace did with those $2. Guy Quote
Soul Stream Posted March 7, 2006 Author Report Posted March 7, 2006 Gimme a break. Don't like this either. Somehow I'm not surprised. Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 (edited) Gimme a break. Don't like this either. Somehow I'm not surprised. You don't know what you're talking about and have obviously missed earlier discussions of Horace and his website. A quick search should be enlightening. Give me a break! I've known Horace for 30+ years. edit for stupid spelling error Edited March 7, 2006 by Chuck Nessa Quote
Soul Stream Posted March 7, 2006 Author Report Posted March 7, 2006 And so your "Gimme A Break" is because I missed the earlier thread about his book? Give ME a break. Quote
makpjazz57 Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 Confused here. Horace has a new website. Horace's autobiography is out (I have my copy). I can't find any old discussions to become enlightened. I think the website looks great. Can someone help me out here - maybe with a link to the old discussion? Thanks, Marla Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 Yeah, you're baaaaaddd! This thread was started in November and has been active today. Not really hard to find. Quote

Soul Stream Posted March 7, 2006 Author Report Posted March 7, 2006 Yeah, you're baaaaaddd! This thread was started in November and has been active today. Not really hard to find. FYI, I did a topic search for Horace Silver before I posted this and nothing came up since the thread you're talking about doesn't have the words Horace Silver in the topic. So, yes, it is hard to find believe it or not. Matter of fact, it's impossible to find in that manner. Either way, I was just trying to spread the word for Horace. Why don't you give me a little respect. I think I've earned it on this forum. Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 Either way, I was just trying to spread the word for Horace. Why don't you give me a little respect. I think I've earned it on this forum. Well I've been searching for another fairly recent "relatively long" thread about Horace's "money grubbing" tactics and $80 t-shirts, $$$ for autographed photos, etc I can't find it. After what I thought were multiple threads that talked these issues to death, your new one set me off. Missed the day you earned all the respect. Sort of like the day I missed why you say "Don't like this either. Somehow I'm not surprised". Quote
bertrand Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 I'm with Soul Stream on this. So he posted a thread on a topic already discussed elsewhere? BFD. Guy, What $2 are you alluding to? I know a story involving Horace and $2, but I don't see where it is mentioned. It's a great story. Bertrand. Quote

bertrand Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 Thanks. I thought I heard that story when I was out in California, but I was mistaken (Horace was discussed). I read it right here! I wonder why Allen phrased his question in such an obscure way. Just ask already. Now the guy has no clue what he was talking about. Bertrand. Quote
Soul Stream Posted March 7, 2006 Author Report Posted March 7, 2006 Does anybody know if the guitarist featured in the clip on the site is Richie Resnicoff, the same guitarist on the United States of Mind stuff? If so, he sure is blazing. Does anybody know anything about him? I'd love to hear more of his work. Quote
Guest Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 my son wrote a letter to Horace about 10 years ago when he was learning about jazz and horace responded in kind, with autographed photo- no charge Quote
