chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 ---->THE T.A.M.I SHOW (teenage music international)-filmed at the santa monic civic auditorium, 1964: starring jan n dean, the beach boys, james brown, rolling stones, marvin gaye, smokey & the miracles, the supremes, lesley gore, and chuck berry.---the only band who didnt release the rights 2 their songs for the film and thus they are cut. it was probably that dam murray. its really an early example of a music film, the mix is horrible- the girls screaming is equal in the mix to the elec. guitar ever at times, but the music is great to hear live, esp. the mowtown acts. jack nitchze the crazy LA arranger conducted the band and i might of seen conte and buddy collette in the horn sec. im not entierely positive. has anyone seen this Quote
chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez Posted June 4, 2006 Author Report Posted June 4, 2006 the band which was cut was the BEACH BOYS-- murray wilson the dad, their manager, probably was behind it Quote
sheldonm Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 ...have not seen it but it sounds interesting despite the apparent poor mix. Is this available on dvd? m~ Quote

Aggie87 Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 (edited) I would think the answer would be - because it's simply not a necessary character. Nobody uses this for the most part. However, if you for whatever reason simply NEED to post it, run charmap.exe on your computer, and you will find it readily available. ¢¢¢¢¢ Edited June 4, 2006 by Aggie87 Quote

chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez Posted June 7, 2006 Author Report Posted June 7, 2006 ..."Plenty"::: Meryl Streep plays this hot chick who has no man cause everyones nuts about the war, so she is lonely. She hooks up w/ a few guys but then leaves france for england where she marries this uptight english dude in the special services. Over the corse of two hours he nags at her, until she cant take it anymore goes completly mental and even goes as far as to hook up w/ STING on the rebound. she wanted sting to give her a baby. the move struggled along with numerous pacing problems such as having too few static romance scenes and far to many scenes used to advance the plot. In conclusion, if you wish to see Meryl shake it, we here recommend her OTHER 1985 movie, 'falling in love'- complete with catchy dave grusin soundtrack Quote
chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez Posted June 26, 2006 Author Report Posted June 26, 2006 in the former we have a young Chevy Chase in his 1st major film role starring opposite americas cuite-pie, Goldie Hawn. It is a overlooked classic, which combines adventure and suspense with the comedy. it also stars dudley moore in the most out of control role in his carreer. going back a decade we have a very rare and hard to find film starring Marshalltown, Iowa's leading lady, Jean Seberg- in "Love Play", (La Récréation). If you thought you couldnt produce a smut film without dirty language and nudity, this film will prove you wrong. jean plays an american schoolgirl in a french boarding school chock full of lesbians who want to share a bunk with her. she sneaks off to flirt with the neighbor, some dude. the dudes wife is all for it, and eggs her husband on and makes it a little game for the two of them, she arranges the whole setup so he can hook up with her. the film begins and ends on a very dark note with overtones of murder, but in between its all peaches and ribbon candy. chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez Posted June 28, 2006 Author Report Posted June 28, 2006 ------->CHEWY CHEW CHEWS CINEMA BARN PRESENTS<--------- ****SUSAN SURRANDON****: THE CRAPPY EARLY 80'S PERIOD --after such good 70's roles such as "the other side of midnight" and "pretty baby", and before her much applauded work of the 90s, came, of course, the 80s- which she made a bunch of really bad films, with the exception of "atlantic city" which is better.....anyways..... the upside to this was she was lookin foxier than ever, so the bad storylines really dont matter none-----so..... first up we have one of the earliest made-for-HBO movies, "loving couples", from 1980. you know chewy chew-chew, never turns down a redhead, **EXCEPT** shirley mcLaine. she is the most annoying and unattractive redhead ever. id rather do al roker. well anyways susan and shirley mclaine are hooking up with James Coburn who was exteremly mis-casted and the move also stars steven collins as a pretty boy beefcake who of course later would go on to play the dad on the WB sitcom, '7th heaven'. the film is about swinging and disco dancing, right about the time these things were running their course and dying out. the saving grace of the movie is that susan surrandon is hotter than ever, and theres even a scene of her in a jacuzzi. chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez Posted June 28, 2006 Author Report Posted June 28, 2006 the next two films feature susan with a new very short haircut which she didnt keep for many films. it isnt has hot as her previous hairstyle but w/ susan you can never go wrong--- the first film w/ her short hair is called the Buddy System from 1984. it starts a hairy richard dryfeuss who was even uglier as a middle aged guy than he is as an old man. it also stars a little crazy 8 year old who susan has to deal with. the movie is notable beacuse in one scene susan wears some short-shorts and shows off her great stems. besides that the movie is probably the worst of her career from 1985 comes COMPROMISING POSITIONS which still is a 'b' grade movie but this time its a little better. it co-stars raul julia as a dectitive trying to solve a murder. susan plays the housewife who wants to get back to her reporter roots and break the case. the pacing is pretty slow but susan looks real hot in her plain housewife sweatshirt and sweatpants. her husband is played by edward hermann who later went on to play the grandpa on the Gilmore Girls. this film is worth seeking out more than the other 3 mentioned, but all and all they really are a lowpoint in an otherwise spetacular career.
