Durium
SVEND ASMUSSEN I found a little 45 rpm Decca recording ( D 17608) with the Svend Asmussen Quintett Can someone tell me when this record was released? Sven Asmussen, known as a violin player, doesn't plays the violin on this record. Did Svend played the guitar? Keep swinging Durium

Keep swinging Durium I still haven't got the discographical information about this small record. Why is Svend Asmussen not audible on the violin on this record? Maybe someone can tell me? You can listen to the tunes on this page. Keep swinging durium Edited November 15, 2006 by Durium
Big Beat Steve
I haven't heard of Svend Asmussen playing the guitar either. Unfortunately the record you are talking about isn't listed ni the discographies I have as it apparently is one of those the discographers considered too commercial to be called jazz. Maybe Asmussen sat this one out (although it was his group) and it is Jörgen Ingmann or Ulrik Neumann on guitar?

Thanks Steve and Mike. I guess it seems the quintet without Asmussen. Keep swinging Durium
