sheldonm Posted December 28, 2006 Report Posted December 28, 2006 My better half is leaving for Belguim tomorrow.....does anyone that does a fair amount of traveling from the US to Europe know if there will be any problems with her calling the US from Belgium with her current phone (razr/cingular)??? Thanks! m~ Quote
Herb Posted December 28, 2006 Report Posted December 28, 2006 If it's a razr, it probably has all 4 band capability so there won't be any problem using it. Now recharging it is another issue......... (220v over there) Quote

Yes, but make sure that your cellular service has the international band (or whatever it's called) turned on. When I was in Belgium over the summer, my phone didn't work for the first few days because of some processing error on this end. To make things worse, the international phone cards i purchased there didn't work either and I got jacked royally ($50 for a call ) from an airport credit card phone. Quote
ejp626 Posted December 28, 2006 Report Posted December 28, 2006 Thanks guys, she does have a converter for the charging. Mark~ Yes, but she will probably need an additional adapter just to plug into the wall sockets. They aren't that expensive, and she should be able to buy one in the airport on the way out. Making trans-Atlantic calls on a cell phone is incredibly expensive no matter what your plan, so keep those calls short! Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted December 28, 2006 Report Posted December 28, 2006 Call the company, Mark to make sure everything is set. They've got to make some kind of internal adjustments before any calls can be made. You can also purchase international-friendly services for a temporary period while she's over there. Quote
