The first disc is yet another recording of

the Royal Albert Hall concert on Feb 24/69 -- "Smashing of the amps" is a

dead giveaway! The flute player of Room Full of Mirrors was Chris Wood,

from Traffic. The other discs contain old pre-Experience material, mostly

Lonnie Youngblood stuff -- rehashed AGAIN!.

This is simply a "3-in-1-release" of 3 albums

previously released by the same Pulsar-label in 1989 and 1990:

CD1 is PULS 003: "His Final Live Performance" (More or less identical to the

"Experience"-soundtrack from RAH 24.02.69)

CD2 is PULS 004: "Experiences" (LY-material / Mostly fake)

CD3 is PULS 008: "Masterpieces" (LY-material & Scene Club-tracks)

I think that Jim has identified it correctly, it's the Royal Albert Hall concert (which is finally going to be coming out officially, according to what I've heard) material on that tape. NOT his last concert by a long shot.

Slightly OT - it's great that they are putting the RAH concert out officially, but when are they going to get around to re-releasing the Stages material? As I recall, when they pulled it OOP in the first place, they said it was just to improve the notes the sound. That was years ago.

Yes, but wasn't that also totally different management of the material? Was it the family that pulled it out of print?

It's likely that some of these will come out soon. . . Atlanta probably as a DVD.

Yes, it was the family - again, this is going back a ways but I recall them saying that it would be back in print "soon" (this was the mid-90s) with expanded/corrected notes and improved sound, which is why I didn't pick it up at the time. I've regretted that ever since.

Okay. . . I don't remember anything along those lines. I think at that time when they used "soon" they had no clear plan of what was to come. . . .

I would wager that the shows without video will come out on Dagger. . . .

FWIW, Jimi's last live performance is available from Dagger Records.
