If you are an insane "completist" for the music of the MJQ, as I am, then this is terrific, not to be missed music. On the other hand, I know that there are those on this list that are not big fans of the MJQ.

BTW, there are several excellent DVDs of the MJQ in concert ... and some "original" music is on these that is not available on any of their studio CDs ..

I am with Garth on this one. It is a good one, but I would not consider it to be among the very best MJQ recordings. My advice would be to get this one after you have most of the other MJQ recordings.

Anybody got the MJQ's appearance on The Helen Reddy Show, on which BB King was also a guest, & which concluded with Reddy, King, & the MJQ jamming on "Everyday I Have The Blues"?
