Spontooneous Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 (edited) Kansas City, Mo., has Mary Lou Williams, Ella Fitzgerald and Basie streets. All very short and in a very violent part of the inner city. Edited May 19, 2007 by Spontooneous Quote
ghost of miles Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 Not a jazz artist, but there is a street here in Bloomington named after a jazz DJ: Treadwell Lane. Believe it or not, no Hoagy Carmichael Boulevard or some such (Stardust Road, etc.). There is a Hoagy Carmichael Center, but nothing about the building will put Hoagy in mind at all. Quote
Aggie87 Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 There's a Duke Ellington Way in Las Vegas, parallel to the Strip, on the other side of the Tropicana. Quote
