mikeweil
I'm aware some members are not fond of them, but I kind of like them, and am curious if I know them all: Any more?

freeform83
Does the Thelonious Monk Plays Duke Ellington cover count? It's one of my favorite 50s covers (and albums).

.:.impossible
Off-topic PLUG: For anyone that's interested, my brother's band has just released their second full-length which features three of Henri Rousseau's paintings on the packaging. In cooperation with Jim A., I am going to be offering this album for sale here in the next day or so. Two dollars of every purchase will go to the org.org cause. Stay tuned. Alright, let's get back on track.
mikeweil
I'm specifically looking for those covers where the musician posed with an art object.

mikeweil
Afro-Jaws has a piece of ethnic art, but nonetheless, that's what I was looking for. The Russell is another hit. The Burrell and Dolphy are on Prestige, I am looking for Riverside LPs only, sorry, please ... and musicians posing with an art object! mikeweil
Afro-Jaws was a Don Silverstein photo (African mask - I dropped the term "primitive", as it is not - from Carlebach Gallery Inc, New York) Herbie Mann's cover was a Paul Bacon design with a Paul Weller photo. The Griffin was a Ken Deardoff design with a Steve Shapiro photo. I have the Adderley only in the Evans box and do not have the Russell - who did these? Thanks!
