Durium Posted August 3, 2007 Report Posted August 3, 2007 CRUMB I have a copy of the CD ( RYKODISC RCD 10322) with the Original Soundtrack of the 1995 R. Crumb documentary CRUMB The discographical information is marginal. Some tracks seem to be played by R. Crumb himself, some seem original, piano roll or 78rpm, others by musicians like Craig Ventresco (and his Bo Grumpus). Has someone ever researched the track list for discographical information? Maybe someone, who has the video / DVD of the film can help. Can someone help !! >500 Keep Swinging contributions Keep swinging Durium Quote
Durium Posted August 4, 2007 Author Report Posted August 4, 2007 CRUMB Thanks to some research and with some help of my friends the track list of R. Crumb's soundtrack of CRUMB has no secrets anymore. I love to see the documentary. Who-can-help-me? Crumb - The Soundtrack Keep swinging Durium Quote
clifford_thornton Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 I saw it several years ago - interesting, but ultimately quite sad. Amazon has it in stock, but I suspect it's probably not an all-region DVD. Quote
clifford_thornton Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 You might also like American Splendor, the biographical film of Harvey Pekar (starring Paul Giamatti) if you haven't seen it yet. Quote

AllenLowe Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 (edited) glad you guys did that but PLEASeE don''t pass over the Geeshie Wiley cuts so quickly; they are the most important on the whole soundtrack - Last Kind Words Blues is one of the most amazing performances in the American vernacular, IMHO - little is known about her, but her recordings are quite amazing - Edited August 6, 2007 by AllenLowe Quote
clifford_thornton Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 Don't have that soundtrack but I have at least one Geeshie Wiley cut somewhere... thanks for the reminder. Quote
Kalo Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 I saw it several years ago - interesting, but ultimately quite sad. Amazon has it in stock, but I suspect it's probably not an all-region DVD. I'm sure that there's a region 2 disc available. Try Amazon.fr Quote
