The Magnificent Goldberg Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 I've only been getting e-mail notifications from Organissimo on sparse occasions for several days now. It's a pain in the arse. But today, when I logged into my e-mail box, my hand slipped and instead of hitting the inbox, I hit the spam box. And I found all the missing e-mail notifications. OK, now I really haven't declared to my hotmail provider that e-mil notifications from Organissimo are spam. So, how do these things get defined as spam? Is it something that I've done? Is it something that the board has done? Or is it just shit happening? MG Quote
Claude Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 (edited) The criteria used by spam filters vary, but usually you can add email senders to a "white list", so the emails will pass the filter although they match it's spam criteria. Edited September 20, 2007 by Claude Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 With services like Hotmail, sometimes if you delete multiple messages from the same sender repeatedly, without reading them, the service will automatically assume that the messages must be spam or junk mail. The solution is to simply add the forum email address to your "white list" or "safe list". Quote
