mikelz777 Posted February 5, 2012 Report Share Posted February 5, 2012 (edited) For those who are curious or interested, sound samples for "Jazz Waltz" can be found on the lower half of the page at the link below: Sound samples - Jazz Waltz I'm certain that I'm going to enjoy it as I've enjoyed everything by the Jazz Crusaders and the Crusaders up until Those Southern Knights, the last recording before Wayne Henderson left the group though they were starting to lose their shine with me around the time of Chain Reaction and Those Southern Knights. Regarding Lighthouse '69, M.C. noted as follows: " EMI plans to reissue nothing. Maybe things will change but not for the lower selling artists like the Jazz Crusaders. This was the only one I didn't get to because I wanted to remix it, but it was recorded on 8-track instead of four-track and had lots of repairs and some overdubs. So it would have been three times the cost to remix and I never could justify the cost. Ah well - win some, lose some." Daniel A Posted February 17, 2012 Report Share Posted February 17, 2012 I really would have liked to hear the extra material. I agree that '69 is the most enjoyable of the Lighthouse albums.
