Hello all,

Do any of you know of any European festivals and/or venues that would be conducive to Reptet's brand of jazz music? We are hoping to tour Europe in the summer. We have a good amount of Italian venues and bookers that we've been contacting, but if anyone could help us with other European venues (especially festivals)it would greatly appreciated. If we could get one festival to commit we could apply for a travel grant, which would be sweet.

Anyway, thanks in advance,

-john

Hi Johnny,

sorry, but I haven't got any serious connections with festivals over here. The fact is that they are spread all over the country. I might, I can't assure you about the result, investigating about Rome. The point is that, if you want a Festival, in Rome Music Festivals are part of Estate Romana, (Roman Summer), that is obviously in summer. Anyway you can PM me with a more precise requests and explain me what a St. Dep travel grant would require.

How about the Umbria fest?

The oldest and the greatest one, but too late for Reptet, if I understood the request. There are a lot of music and jazz festivals over here, but it's pretty hard to check them all, because often they didn't get the money for one to next year. So it could has been a Bari Jazz Festival in April 2007 that there will be not in 2008.

Anyway I have a close friend who tried, unsuccessfully, to promote a jazz group, I'll ask her. BTW that group wasn't at the same level of Reptet!

OK, so I had a meeting with the Reptet peoples today and we have decided to make our tour in April an expanded US tour and go out to Europe in the summer when more festivals are happening. If any of you can recommend some European festivals (preferably southern Europe and the Netherlands, but any that you know of that you think Reptet would be good for) that would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance to all my Org friends. :)
