Rooster_Ties Posted September 13, 2008 Author Report Posted September 13, 2008 re: the original clip... What gets me is they're so fucking calm about, and that one guy just hangs there for what seems like forever. Maybe the scariest thing I've seen on the web, ever. Quote

BruceH Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 Clearly these guys in the original clip have a serious adrenaline addiction. Quote
RDK Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 Meh, that's nothing. You should see me drink a beer while sitting atop a ladder. Quote

Son-of-a-Weizen Posted April 8, 2010 Report Posted April 8, 2010 That scene in 'A Perfect Getaway' where Milla Jovovich stumbles on that high pass gives me the heebie-jeebies big time. Quote

Rooster_Ties Posted March 2, 2011 Author Report Posted March 2, 2011 (edited) Not exactly "heights" (although the elevation drop must be quite a hell of a lot)... ...in any case, this is pretty jaw-dropping: http://vimeo.com/9970489 This next one is even more rugged/severe (same location, different course - from a previous year) -- one bike chases another one down the course (edited to alternate camera views), each with head-mounted cameras: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56kJ99AvfoI And here's another rider from the same course (same year) as the first clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jO0VLouJFNQ Edited March 2, 2011 by Rooster_Ties Quote
David Ayers Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 That first one made my palms sweat too - and my palms never sweat. I didn't even watch it through - just ff-ed to the pull-ups. Quote

Free For All Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 Are you afraid of heights? Wow! I feel my stomach flip-flop when I look at those pics. And it ain't love. Quote
marcello Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 (edited) A fan of Joe Locke's took Joe and his girlfriend, Clarence Penn and his wife and me and my daughter Danielle (pictured) to a area ABOVE the observation deck, where you could hang over the edge (not me!) if you dumb enough. These pictures don't really show how absolutely terrifying it was, especially in a 40mph wind! Oh yeah, Danielle leaned over! This little knee wall was all there was between you and the sidewalk! Noj Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 By coincidence, my friend on FB just posted this link. Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted August 11, 2012 Author Report Posted August 11, 2012 The title of the clip says "Girl walking on a roof"... ...but 'roof' doesn't even remotely describe what she's (barely) walking on. Yikes!! Quote
