Christiern Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 All the releases I have seen have been shortened--is this one complete? Quote
Durium Posted February 6, 2008 Author Report Posted February 6, 2008 All the releases I have seen have been shortened--is this one complete? A good question ....... how do I know if mine is "complete"? I read somewhere that almost four hours of film were shot, well they are not on this DVD. How many minutes was the originally film? It looks rather complete, comparing the track list and what artists should on it ..... Jazz On A Summer's Day Keep swinging Durium Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 What I've always wondered is why Ray Charles' performance wasn't included. Anyone know? MG Quote
Christiern Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 That may have been a contractual problem, but other footage was also left out. I originally (1984) picked up a LaserDisc release in Tokyo--it runs 82 minutes. How does that compare with the length of your version, Durium? Quote
Christiern Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 How does that relate to this thread, Aggie? Quote

Aggie87 Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 How does that relate to this thread, Aggie? It's a joke, pertaining to Durium's typo. Quote
Christiern Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 Sorry, I'm slow (again) today! Quote
Dan Gould Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 How does that relate to this thread, Aggie? It's a joke, pertaining to Durium's typo. And you know how long he's been waiting for that typo to come up? He was going to give it one more day, then use it in the "sexiest album covers" thread. Quote
