chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez Posted February 10, 2008 Report Posted February 10, 2008 How did he get tight with Zappa and the Doors? What are up with also those "Psyceldelic World Pacifics"? is it reckonoized how World Pacific was a fusion label prioneer? why was the 1st mention of LSD on a record was a World Pacific surf-rock cut? was RB doing a lot of lsd with jim morrision or something? Why did he expand beyond West coast Jazz? what did you critics think of that at the time? Quote
Dan Gould Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 I think the far more significant question is why was he so damn careless with the exacto-knife when he edited those session tapes? Quote

Dan Gould Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 Razor blade, never an Exacto. Because of the design of the cutting boards, I presume. In my first full-time radio job, there was a period of about three months where we were still in the reel-to-reel age, and then we went digital, and I probably ended up editing by hand maybe three spots. I stand corrected. Quote
