salt nearly killed me; dont let it ruin your life

That's often the case at restaurants here in Philadelphia. When the chef/kitchen staff know what they're doing it's terrific! I haven't lifted a salt/pepper shaker in months. You should see the bitching on the food blogs about people who are incensed about "the kitchen's attempts to control what they eat". Give me a break. If it's done right, you shouldn't need a damn shaker on the table!

Aloc--so delighted to hear that.

Our son Eric is chef at a restaurant in Buffalo. They serve dinner and there are no salt or pepper shakers on the table.
