MG They're not any larger than yours, MG. That's one 500gb and three 250gb drives. I have them backed up to DVD-R, but they sure are handy for swapping stuff out on the ol' iPod. Quote
Parkertown Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 I love you Rubber Ducky!!! (Alexanders last pic...) Quote
Christiern Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 I sold 18,000 LPs a few years back and had thousands of CDs and DVDs stolen, but there is something left: more in next post... Quote
Christiern Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 Here's the rest of what's left. I still also have the boxes and booklets for about 35 Mosaics that "disappeared". Can''t cry over spilled milk. Quote

Alexander Posted April 18, 2008 Author Report Posted April 18, 2008 Uh, if you didn't spend do damn much on them CDs, maybe you could sheetrock them walls. We don't own the house. We have talked to the landlord about finishing the basement. It would be nice. At least the basement is a dry one, for the most part (we had two small leaks over the winter, the first time we'd ever had water in that basement). At least the LPs are upstairs... Quote

The Magnificent Goldberg Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 You must be awfully tall, Chris. I can only reach twelve shelves high. You've got 16 shelves - though there isn't as much space between the shelves as I have. Do you use a chair to get at the stuff on the top shelves? Here's most of my African music K7s and CDs And the main CD rack And here's a detail showing how it's fixed and supported - my wife wouldn't put up with saggy shelves. I don't have as many albums as others, but I specialise MG Quote
Christiern Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 MG: "You must be awfully tall, Chris. I can only reach twelve shelves high." Well, while I do find jazz to be uplifting, I do not find it beneath me to mount a folding stepladder. (and find it beneath me, as it were). I like your main CD rack. Mine comprises 3 units, but I should have allowed some headroom--as you did. I also have several hundred 45 rpm discs in a closet Anyone else collect those? Quote
paul secor Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 I also have several hundred 45 rpm discs in a closet Anyone else collect those? Yep. a few hundred blues/r&b/gospel/+ some jazz 45s stored in boxes in the garage. Quote
