Now listening to Morton Subotnick's "The Wild Bull" on Nonesuch.

This is pretty wild - lots of interesting shifts from minimal quiet passages to very loud and crowded mayhem.

Parts of it remind me of Jerry Goldsmith's soundtrack to "Logan's Run," the expanded version of which contains a greater sampling of electronic music from the Dome.

Just scored a few gems on LP, $2.99 a throw, all in pristine condition (as you'd expect), and all on the Nonesuch label:

The aforementioned "Earth's Magnetic Field" by Chares Dodge

"Music for Instruments & Electronic Sound" by Donald Erb

"Electro-Acoustic Music" by Iannis Xenakis

Listened to Dodge and half of Erb. Great stuff! Dodge got off to a slow start with a lengthy monophonic melodic passage, but then it kicked in. And anyone whose last name is Erb would have to compose electronic music!

Xenakis is excellent. Across the board, excellent.

This was a recent pick up, from da bastids:

Very nice.

Also, anything by Laurie Spiegel is worth picking up.

Now listening to Iannis Xenakis. Side 1, "Bohor 1," sounds like the soundtrack to an early David Lynch film!!!

That's one of my favourites of this genre. Also a big fan of Morton Subotnick's Silver Apples of the Moon.
