I have been trying for years to find Jack Wilson on the internet, as I lost touch with him since he was living in Culver City, CA. I was, of course saddened to hear of his passing in 2007, and would appreciate it if any one can put me in touch with his widow, or to point her to my email address. I recorded (as producer) a solo album of Jack in 1987, and have never released it, due to technical problems with the live direct to 2-track recording we made at the old Annex studio in Hollywood. The cuts are avant garde but totally Jack. Unlike you have ever heard. I will need a "doctor" to fix the track, as there was hiss on the amplifier that no one caught during the recording. I used to live in the apartment right over Jack, and would hear him all the time playing solo, and fell in love with the music. Oh, sure, it was great when the trio, the quartet, and sometimes the quintet would come over to rehearse, but solo was always my favorite, and I convinced Jack to do a solo album. I copied the master to digital as a save, and hoped that given enough time, the technology would be out there to save the session. If anyone feels that they would like to take a crack to fix the track with the modern tools that are out there, give a shout, and lets see if we can pull it out. The trouble is, of course, that solo piano has the entire dynamic frequency range and is all alone, and Jack has an expressive range of pppppp to ffffff, so it is a worthy challenge for anyone to try. This is my first post here. I beg forgiveness if I have posted in a wrong forum, and would request anyone who feels the post is somehow off topic, or innapropriate, to please refer me to the correct forum.

Thanks

If hiss is the only problem it might be easy to fix.

Is it very much the same over the whole session?

Is there a "silent" section where only the hiss is present?

If so, there is real hope. Even I could fix it.
