Teasing the Korean Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 Saw the first episode. Big fan of the 60s series. Was expecting to hate the new one, but was pleasantly surprised. What did you think? Quote
Harold_Z Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 I liked it, so I'm in for the ride. In a way it reminded me of Lost. I didn't see the old series but a friend has been telling to make sure I see it. I looked around and found the OLD series is on AMC on demand but I missed the first 5 or 6 episodes. I may just spring for the dvds. Quote
carnivore Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 Visually very striking, a lot of the acting seemed a tad unconvincing - McKellen is becoming self-parodic - the narrative drive did not impel me to watch two eps in sucession but I'll record and probably stick with it. Quote
Alexander Posted November 17, 2009 Report Posted November 17, 2009 Just tried watching the first episode. Couldn't get through it. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I haven't watched TV in months now... I appreciated the references to the original series, but it just didn't hold my interest... Quote
Christiern Posted November 17, 2009 Report Posted November 17, 2009 (edited) I deliberately missed it—liked the original too much and just can't imagine a remake that won't disappoint. I did watch part 1 of Collision and will be following that series. Stay tuned for yet another "let me see, what can I post to get my total up?" Edited November 17, 2009 by Christiern Quote
BruceH Posted November 17, 2009 Report Posted November 17, 2009 I've been staying away from it. Quote
kinuta Posted November 17, 2009 Report Posted November 17, 2009 Have the first four episodes ready to watch but only managed to get through ten minutes of episode one. I don't know, it just seemed off to me. The Prisoner = Patrick McGoohan , end of story Quote
BFrank Posted November 17, 2009 Report Posted November 17, 2009 I don't know, it just seemed off to me. The Prisoner = Patrick McGoohan , end of story Zaktly. Quote
Teasing the Korean Posted November 18, 2009 Author Report Posted November 18, 2009 I watched the whole 6 hours. Nothing great, but more worthwhile than some have suggested. Ian McKellen as Number 2 was the best thing about it. The Number 6 guy was pretty ordinary. Quote
Free For All Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 Ian McKellen as Number 2 ".....hehe...hehehe....hehe..." Quote
Shrdlu Posted December 15, 2009 Report Posted December 15, 2009 You guys seriously need to get out a bit more, lol. Quote
