brownie
Anybody heard this just released CD Le Choc which includes the soundtrack of the music composed by Philippe Sarde for this 1982 film starring Alain Delon and Catherine Deneuve? Did not see the film and never heard the soundtrack. Wonder if it's worth getting just for Shorter. He was accompanied by musicians from Weather Report and by the London Symphony Orchestra. bertrand
I was living in France when this film came out but I did not see it. I had no idea of Wayne's involvement; I was just starting to listen to Jazz. I probably knew of him, but that was it. It sounds like there is enough of him on this to track this down. Thanks for telling us about this one! Bertrand.
brownie
If you did not know about this soundtrack, how could I?!? That Universal/EmArcy France collection of film soundtracks is full of pleasant surprises for the curiosities seekers!
brownie
Have listened to this now and not very impressed by the rather bland soundtrack. For Wayne Shorter completists only!
