Issues With Editing Posts

I seem to have problems editing my posts. When I click on the edit button, it completely erases what I originally posted. For example, I wanted to edit a recent listening post. When I hit edit, everthing disppears, so fine. I'll do it over. I click on the image icon, paste in the image, hit insert image box and nothing appears on the screen. Afterwards, I noticed that my cursor, the line that blinks on and off appears at the top of the box in the blue shaded area.Not sure what's going on there? Also, in this box I'm replying in right now only allows me to post 6 lines and then it drops into the blue shaded area. What gives here? Any help you guys can provide would be appreciated. I'm running off Windows if that helps?

Pleased to say none of that happens to me with my Windows XP - although that's not much help to you!

I'm running off Windows VISTA and Internet Explorer 8 if that makes any difference? I only seem to run across these problems here.

Did you click on the "compatibility" button next to the address bar at the top and try posting again?

Hans, you have struck gold. I accidentally hit that button recently and didn't give it a second thought till now. Problem solved. Thanks again.
